Interview with Lisa Dilts with RCLCO on Florida Real Estate Trends
Florida home builders have experienced some of the toughest times over the last three years. Home prices continue to remain low and overall the housing inventory remains at some historic highs for our Central Florida area. But for home builders planning to move forward and continue their businesses into the foreseeable future – at least 5 years – they need to take stock in the home buying trends to meet current demand and for the future. For Realtors, they need they can use this information to list their client’s homes to address these highly regarded home buyer preferences.

Are there preferences that home buyers should consider when buying new homes in Central Florida?

All home buyer demographics want a home in a location that has a strong sense of community. How can a seller still show that their home has a strong sense of community?

What should a seller consider when getting their home ready to sell their home? What are the top features? Are these change priorities price based?
About Lisa Dilts
The Home Builders Association of Metro Orlando was privileged to host Lisa Dilts, Vice President in RCLCO’s Orlando office last Thursday, June 25. Lisa advises builders, developers, lenders, and large land holders on a wide range of product types, including master-planned communities, resorts, rental apartments, condominiums, and retail centers. Lisa has advised both public and private sector clients throughout the United States, with an emphasis on the Southeast. Prior to joining RCLCO, Lisa worked with Ernst and Young’s Commercial Real Estate Services Group, where her primary focus was valuation of commercial properties and site selection for industrial and government users. She also worked for Beazer Homes as a Strategic Market Analyst, where she advised on land acquisitions, target market audiences, repositioning of existing communities, and expansion strategies. She holds a Masters of Real Estate from the University of Florida, where she also earned her Bachelor’s of Design from the College of Architecture.
